BRIDGING THE IT STAFFING GAP WITH BOOTCAMP DEVELOPER PROGRAMS
MAX Technical Training delivers top-tier IT and business professional training. For years Denise Bartick, President and CEO of MAX Technical Training, had been hearing how clients were experiencing obstacles in growing their IT staff. In 2012, she set out to build this new developer program to help bridge the gap.
Thanks to funding assistance for incumbent workers, provided to Great American Insurance Company by the Ohio Department of Development, the first Developer Program was underway in the Fall of 2012.
THE IT BOOTCAMP DEVELOPER PROGRAM
MAX Technical Training’s bootcamp developer program trains people that can come from diverse backgrounds in specific skills and knowledge base areas, preparing them to start a new career as entry level software developers. For the employer the bootcamp developer is less expensive than hiring an established developer with years of experience, yet she/he has enough knowledge to hit the ground running and really contribute to the IT department. MAX worked closely with client’s IT and HR leadership every step of the way; from recruiting interested candidates and rigorously screening and testing them for aptitude and cultural fit, to customizing the training curriculum to fit the client’s unique needs, and finally to training new recruits.
Once training at MAX was complete these new developers began their careers reporting to a senior developer who continued to develop their skills and facilitate their transition into the new corporate culture.
Cincy Code IT bootcamp developer programs for .NET and Java are attended by career seekers from many different background. Graduates have proven that you don’t have to be an IT professional to become a valued software developer.
